8 Things Interior Designers Want You to Know…
I recently read a story on Houzz that I wanted to share with you.
A couple of designers pulled together a list of eight things interior designers want you (the potential client) to know about what it’s like to get help from a designer. Check out the list of points below and click HERE for the full article – or click the link at the end of this post.
I completely agree with all their points. Most clients don’t have a real idea just what all interior designers can help with, so I’m happy to share this little insight.
It’s not always just about the right pillows or paint colors. Sometimes it’s about taking out walls to open up a space. Or flipping the old outdated kitchen to the opposite side of the house and updating it. Or maybe it’s even about designing a custom home from top to bottom, from concept to construction documents to completion. Each designer has their specialties, so it’s important to do your research.
Here's their list...
- We may be able to work with you even if you are in a different city.
- We go through a rigorous education and training process, just like other pros.
- We can use the latest technology to help you envision a new space.
- We can pull together an entire home … or a single room.
- We can help your project conform to safety standards and building codes.
- We can’t always share product sources and pricing publicly.
- We want to work with your vision … and expand it.
- We can see your project through from start to finish.
