Farmhouse Inspiration

As a kid I spent a lot of time on my grandparents’ farm. We had horses, chickens, guineas, dogs, cats, and more. We also had several gardens to tend to. One section was nothing but peanuts simply because I had asked my grandfather where peanuts came from.

Oddly enough the farmhouse was actually a large log house. The timbers to make the house were sourced from the farmland itself. I’ve heard many stories about what all went into designing and building the old house when my dad was a teenager.

So even though it wasn’t what people typically picture these days when it comes to “farmhouse” style, it was full of fond farm memories for me.
